Perspectives Application Form

Holy Cross invites you to participate in our annual Perspectives Overnight Program for students from diverse backgrounds. This program is designed for culturally aware students who are intellectually curious and are potentially interested in exploring higher education at a Liberal Arts Jesuit college. The Perspectives program provides a chance to explore the diverse environment Holy Cross has to offer, spend two nights in a residence hall with a current student, and explore the academic and social environment on campus.

This year, the Perspectives program will be held from Saturday November 15-Monday, November 17, 2014

If you are interested in applying, you must currently be in 12th grade or in your final year of high school. Please complete our online application and submit an unofficial copy of your complete high school transcript along with your current courses in progress and a graded paper from your junior year English or History class. We will be accepting applications until Monday, October 13, 2014. Meals and lodging will be provided free of charge by Holy Cross for all selected participants. Spaces are limited, therefore we will not be able to accommodate all applicants. Selected participants will be notified on a rolling basis during the month of October.

I am aware that although College of the Holy Cross has agreed to host me overnight, neither the Office of Admission nor any other office or personnel of Holy Cross will be supervising me at all times during my stay on campus. Visiting students, like enrolled students, are responsible for their behavior as adults within the expectations described below.

High standards have been established for current students, staff and faculty in this community, including high standards of personal conduct and behavior and I agree to adhere to the same standards. I am aware that participants in on-campus visitation programs are required to abide by Massachusetts state law. I acknowledge that Massachusetts law prohibits all use of illegal drugs at any age and prohibits the drinking of alcoholic beverages by persons under 21 years of age. Furthermore, I understand that any negative behavior during my campus stay will be considered by the Admissions Office. Any violation of the rules stated above or any damage to Holy Cross property may result in my dismissal from the program and impact my admissions status to Holy Cross.
